Fenix will be providing improved driving facilities with new permanent dressage arenas all on level land!  The surrounding hills provide excellent "get fit" driving routes.

New purpose built workshops will enable the carriage building to be more productive and efficient to meet the continuing demand for the highest quality of carriages.

The new coach house and museum will also provide for an interesting visit.

Fenix Competition Team. Royal Windsor Coaching Champions 2007

Fenix Carriages is the only centre where you can find the manufacture and restoration of carriages, the training of carriage horses and instruction for their drivers all at one location.

Fenix Carriages was founded over 25 years ago by Mark Broadbent. Now based near Taunton, Fenix's team of craftsmen use modern and traditional techniques to build the highest quality show, commercial and competition vehicles.

Mark Broadbent trained his first pony to harness at the age of eleven. He has been training horses ever since. By the time Mark hit the headlines in 1977, by winning at the Horse of the Year Show, he was developing and making his own carriages. Fenix rose from the need for a carriage that could withstand the rigours of competition. With a combination of highly trained ponies, driving ability and a Fenix Carriage, Mark was the 1984, 1985, and 1986 Pony Team National Champion.
